Déchets plastiques échoués sur une plage, pollution marine et impact environnemental

Our History

I was adrift at that point in my life when I arrived in Australia. I was 24, fresh out of university, and working as a waitress in a small restaurant in Bondi Beach, Sydney. I was wondering: What's next?

I lived for a year in the land of kangaroos, a place that left a deep impression on me. Nine years ago, environmental awareness was already very advanced there: local, organic, and vegan products.

I really immersed myself in the culture there. I LOVED IT. this country. This planet-friendly approach inspired me. 🌿

I was 20 meters underwater scuba diving when I got the click 💡, the world's largest coral reef was almost 75% dead . Global warming was hitting hard.

Upon returning to Quebec, an idea emerged: what if I could raise awareness about a more environmentally friendly lifestyle? 🌎 This is how Dérive ecobrand was born: a local, eco-responsible and committed brand, to create a positive impact, one garment at a time.

Why did I choose the company name Dérive ecobrand?

Drift is first and foremost the drift of waste that washes up on the shores. During my travels around the world, particularly in Honduras, I have witnessed non-tourist beaches that are not cleaned. Waste from the "mainland" drifts to the neighboring islands and you can find everything there, from toothbrushes, shoes, plastic, etc. It's quite disturbing to see!

It is not only a moving sight, but impossible to ignore. 🌍 This observation deeply affected me marked and inspired the brand name, to remind us that every action counts in the fight against pollution.
